Fog Gray is the light neutral. Where Charcoal is nearly black and Stainless is raw metal, this one is a soft mid gray with a cool cast, the color of an overcast morning on the water. Same 3 in 1 body, same swap cap system, same 304 stainless underneath.
If you are buying a set for a house, a boat or an office fridge, light gray is the safest call. It sits under a black lid without contrast, next to white without glare, and beside any of the brighter colorways without competing. It is also the easiest one to add to later, since it never looks like it was chosen for a particular season.
A pale exterior takes on less radiant heat in direct sun than a dark one. The vacuum wall is doing the real work, and the difference is small, but on a July deck with no shade, a light finish is not a bad instinct. What actually keeps the drink cold is the gap between the two walls of steel, and that is identical across the range.
This finish exists in more than one DUALIE model, which makes it easy to build a matching pair. A Fog Gray can cooler for a guest and a Fog Gray Lower Deckie for yourself reads as a set even though the two do different jobs. The colors are matched across families rather than approximated per product.
