Two things, one hand

The argument for this model is that the two items you keep reaching for live in different pockets. Putting the tin under the drink means one object leaves the truck, sits in the cup holder and comes back. Twist the base, take what you need, twist it shut. Nothing rolls under the seat and nothing gets crushed at the bottom of a bag.

The tin is sized to a standard pack

The compartment is cut for the round tins the major pouch brands use, whether the contents are nicotine, caffeine or a nootropic blend. It is a container, not a dispenser, so it does not care what goes in it. The seal keeps moisture out, which matters more than it sounds when the top half of the object is holding something ice cold.

Still a full can cooler

None of the storage costs you drink performance.
